It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful in difficult corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum to mop it is important to pay attention to this.

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock, which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning or recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

Another potential downside is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
