However, unlike the i7+ or other top rated Robot Vacuum-rated robots that we evaluated the i3+ does not have obstacle-avoidance capabilities and therefore it could be stuck on things like socks or power cords and Top Rated robot vacuum may have issues navigating across surface transitions like hardwood to carpet.

iRobot suggests cleaning the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes putting away any toys or other items it might come across. In our testing the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our second-placed model and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin which removes major maintenance sources and reduces recurring cost.

We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot cleaner amazon on how to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions and also to move around the room and even vacuum a specific area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of households, but it also fits in well next to a coffee table or on a bookshelf where you can wave it around like an enchanted wand.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system is able to trap allergens and then lets cleaner air into your home. Its specialized head uses stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets and pick up large dust or crumbs. It has three suction modes to suit the task at hand. It is able to swiftly change from handheld to floor vacuum, and vice versa.

This model has a dock that can charge the Dyson to 100% in 3.5 hours. It also provides easy access to 2 attachments as well as a wand. This is a significant improvement over older Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.

The flat front of the unit allows to get into corners and along the walls' edges and walls, which is a nice feature.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it lacks the mapping capability of more advanced models like our top selections and the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). The application also allows you to manually steer the robot in the event of need. For instance my living room rug has a darkly colored border that tends to cause confusion for other robots I've tested.
