2006: Sony releases its Blu-ray disc format, capable of holding up to 27GB despite being the same size as a DVD. 2000: The Digital Video Disc (DVD) is introduced. 2015: Streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video gained popularity, challenging traditional cable TV. Amazon Prime Video, the future of conventional TV remains uncertain. 2010: 3D televisions start hitting the market, spurred by popular 3D blockbusters like Avatar. 1996: Digital satellite dishes 18 inches in diameter hit the market, becoming the bestselling electronic item in history next to the VCR. T1 circuits can be implemented over open-wire conductors, twisted-pair copper conductors, coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, microwave links, or satellite links.
