1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, meaning you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best home vacuum cleaner robot mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

Its design is also a step above the competition, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base Automatic Hoover robot Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel which other robots aren't able to do. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.

While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best buy robot vacuum option. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank that allows them to mop and vacuum your home at the same time. These bots also have a variety of extra features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more expensive features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice if you are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably soft when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It also has a large LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, but it can help you to keep the robot cleaner's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and features are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.

The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is relatively compact. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's one of the few robot vacuum black friday vacuums I've tried that does a really good job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a robot vacuum cleaner amazon vacuum that does it all.

But if you want to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many other options on the market which include a variety of eufy models for considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper however it comes with more features, including stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near a power outlet and enough space for it to move around, however.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less ostentatious than some rival models, sporting sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which cleans the area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable items that are in its path. The eufy G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers similar battery life and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand is less expensive and is much easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as often and it's less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
